Bush Stone-curlew

This lovely woodland bird stands 50-60 cms tall and lives in parts of Australia. It is the Bush Stone-curlew and much of its habitat is threatened. This is an adaptation of one of Ben's photos take in Queensland. The photo actually shows the birds standing on someone's veranda early in the morning, so they can't be too shy. Spunky, is how he described them.
